Big Al Construction
Growing up in the Small town of Corning, NY, Alan Neally didn't have the most leisurely life growing up with parents who weren't there for him. He had to rely upon the relationships he made outside his home with his friends and soon-to-be Future wife, whom he met in the 8th grade. Cassie, his wife, is often called an Angel, and Al would be the first to tell you, "Without Cas, I'd probably be in a six by six room behind bars." He grew up a very athletic kid playing almost every sport he could but not for long, as he generally was kicked off every team by the 2nd week for misbehavior. Al quickly found his passion outside of the school at the age of 15, getting his first Job with Hanks construction which his friend's dad happened to own. Since he was only 15, there were many restrictions, but this didn't stop Al from creating a Fake
license that allowed him to do all the work he wanted.
Alan was not 100 percent sure he wanted to pursue his path in construction for the rest of his life, so he
attempted to attend Corning Community College. He continued working his jobs and got promoted during this time to Head paver, which bumped his salary up to the prevailing wage. Now Al feeling good about where he was at in life, Al shouted, "fuck this," and that was the last day of schooling for Al. He continued his job with Hanks construction as a head paver for about another 20yrs before the company had a falling out, and he was forced to work for a smaller company out of Candor, NY. This is when Alan first really saw what he knew he was meant to do, and that was to start his own construction company. Al laughably said, "these dumbfucks had no clue what they were doing, and they were making so much money, I just imagined what I could be doing." Although Al knew it wasn't going to be easy, he set off and quit his job in Candor, NY, and moved back home to Corning, NY. He had it in his head that he wanted to start his own company but saw how unrealistic that was, so he turned to a lifelong friend and "The hardest damn worker I have ever seen," Dave Delong, where the second half of the name Neally-Dejong. Dave stood at a Magnificat 6 foot 7, and if you did not know him, you would probably run at first glance, but then you would get to meet dave and see a big teddy bear that couldn't hurt a fly. The two together built Neally-Delong from the ground up, hurdling all the challenges set in front of them and now achieving being one of only two construction companies in the area that is permitted to work on Corning INC. grounds. In the year 2021, Al became the sole owner of Neally-Dejong after buying at Dave Dejong after he decided to pursue his dream of driving across the country. Al is known for his hard work and determination, but is also praised for his generosity. If you ask someone who Knows Alan, they will be the first to tell you how big his heart is; he puts everything and everyone's needs ahead of his own, which in my opinion, is the perfect quality for a boss.

Oil/water separator
A day In Al's life is not one for the faint of heart as Al starts his day at 4:30 bright and early. He starts off the day by hitting the gym, where he brings his stuff and showers so he can head to work right from there. Generally speaking, Al will return to the office for a few hours, working on Takeoff/estimates and placing bids for new jobs. Eventually, Al will hit the field where he could be doing several things; today, he was putting an Oil/water separator in, which helps separate and force the oil to the top of the water. After this, Al ends his day at work and now heads home and cooks for a family of 6. This wraps up Al's day as he will return to his bedroom right after dinner, watching TV until he falls asleep to repeat the same process.
You can get into contact with Alan and his company very easily visiting his website at https://www.neally-dejong.com/, here you will find all of the work that Al's type of construction covers which tends to be anything ground and down meaning he doesn't pave much but does more of the foundation that has to be done before building. "I always love getting knew jobs it allows me to play on my big toys all day and meet some great people in the field nothing better in life in my opinion" Al finished.
